The quite majestic Peter Kirsten

 Peter could take an attack apart with his sparkling strokeplay.
He once hit six centuries in seven innings.





In the 19 rebel ‘Tests’, He scored 1353 runs at 43.64 with three tons including two in the same match against the Aussies at Newlands in 1986-87.
He played four seasons for Derbyshire, scoring 7722 runs for them at 49.50 with 20 tons.
He was almost 37 when South Africa were readmitted into international cricket. That didn’t stop him from playing some scintillating innings in the 1992 World Cup. He scored 410 runs in the tournament at 68.33 with four fifties.
Even at that age he was superb in the field. Johnty Rhodes later admitted that he idolised him as a fielder in his early days.
He played just 12 official Tests with a moderate return of 628 runs at 31.30 including a a match-saving ton at Leeds.
He scored 1293 runs in 40 ODIs, averaging 38.02
In all first-class matches, he scored 22,635 runs at 44.46 with 57 hundreds. He also took 117 wickets with his occasional off-breaks
