How Dhoni Virat Combo Helped India's Future in Men's Test Cricket

 Always grateful to Ms dhoni for giving up test captaincy and giving it to an able man in the Form of Virat Kohli, Fans should be proud that India had a leader like Ms Dhoni who had a clear vision and always thought for the Future & success of the team. 

Dhoni played 90 tests(10 away from playing 100 tests),did 294 dismissals (6 away from 300 dismissals),scored 4876 runs (124 runs away from 5000 runs). He could have easily achieved these milestones and could have continued as test captain and take his tally to 45-50 win as test captain and retire in 2017 before the Australia tour in 2018,but he didn't..He could have easily thrown kohli under the belt but he didn't,He had the vision,He didn't care for his achievements and put the team first,he saw his time was up and gave up.

He handed captaincy to virat kohli and Kohli built his own team,he brought the fitness culture,he brought workload management,he revived Ishant and Umesh ,Debuted Bumrah,Covered every aspect that was required to make this team the number 1 and as they say 'THE REST IS HISTORY '

Kohli continued this trend. He Could have easily startpadded by winning against SL, Bangladesh & Aus (home BGT) & overtaken Graeme Smith for most wins record.

Instead he opted to pass the baton to the guys he groomed & believed will take Indian test team ahead. (KL Rahul & Rishabh Pant)

I fondly remember Virat's Note where the only player he mentioned was Ms Dhoni, thanking him for believing in him.Fans should be grateful they had able leaders who thought about the future of Indian team rather than focusing on their individual Achievements.
