Arthur Morris On Sir Don Bradman
Late great Arthur Morris on the incredible Sir Don Bradman
🗣️: I remember in the fifth Test at The Oval in 1948, when we got England out for 52, Denis Compton came out to bat. Bradman said I was to field just slightly fine of the square-leg umpire, he moved me about five metres. And Ray Lindwall bowled Denis a bouncer and he hooked it and I caught it. I went up to Don and said, ‘Why did you move me?’ And he said, ‘I remember in 1938 Ernie McCormick bowled him some bouncers and Denis used to hook down that particular line.’
